In light of the situation regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) the council has formed a COVID-19 response team. The purpose of this team, which will meet weekly or sooner if the situation requires it, is to evaluate the rapidly changing available information in order to assess its relevance for the Robe Community and to inform you of our decision making. At this point in time, it will be business as usual for Council. To date, there has been no confirmed case of COVID-19 on the Limestone Coast and the number in South Australia are significantly lower than the east coast of Australia.
Our priority is the good health and well-being of our Robe Community and all decisions will be communicated to you through Facebook, the website and newsletters. I ask that you check this information regularly.
The response team will be liaising with key stakeholders within our community and monitoring the advice provided by Federal and State governments and our Local Government Association. We are all aware that this is a significant global event and Council is working on your behalf to ensure we have the most up-to-date information and advice for our community. Further information on COVID-19 is available through the following Federal Government websites:
Council wants to continue to provide services and receive your feedback but would ask you to consider contacting council via alternative communication methods such as telephone or email. If you wish to have face to face service please try to keep social distancing wherever possible and if you are feeling unwell to refrain from visiting our buildings.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your part in keeping Robe safe. Your understanding and actions will assist us with the health and wellbeing of Council employees and ensure continuity of service to the Robe Community.
