Draft Community Groups Fee Waiver Policy – Community Consultation
In accordance with it’s Public Consultation Policy, the District Council of Robe is seeking community feedback on its Draft Community Groups Fee Waiver Policy which is available here. This policy provides a clear framework for assessing requests from community groups, organisations, and Robe Education Services for waivers or reductions in Council fees and charges.
Key points of the policy include:
- Fee waivers or reductions may be granted for discretionary Council fees and certain development application fees.
- Eligibility is based on community benefit, alignment with Council’s strategic objectives, and financial need.
- Requests will be assessed case by case, with approvals managed by Council’s delegated authorities.
- Some statutory fees and charges are not eligible for waiver.
- Acknowledgement of fee waivers as sponsorship is required.
