Have you loved seeing dahlias this summer in bouquets, on instagram and at weddings. Would you like to learn how to start growing your own dahlias?

In this winter workshop on the flower farm, you will learn how to grow these popular flowers and do the activities needed to put them to bed for winter. In conjunction with Anita from Le Flor, we will teach you how to lift, divide and store the dahlia tubers, ready for planting in the spring.

After our demonstration, you will be able to practice on your own clump of tubers. You will dig them from the ground, divide and ready them for storage. Better still, you will go home with your box of dahlia tubers (that you have divided yourself) so you are ready to plant your dahlias when spring comes.

As this class takes place on the flower farm, we will show you how we grow our dahlias with weed mat, irrigation and staking.

Come wrapped up for the elements, this workshop will take place outside unless it is raining and then we will move to the shed.
