Draft Strategic Plan 2024-2028

We have commenced the development of a new Strategic Plan 2024-2028 which will outline Council’s key strategic goals, objectives, and proposed strategies for the next four years.

We heard what you said when asked about Robe’s future through the Robe 2050 Community Survey undertaken in mid-2022, and the findings of this report can be found at this link.

Robe 2050 Key Findings

Stage One - Complete

We were so appreciative of the time taken by nearly 400 survey participants and their responses have been considered as the first stage of engagement for our new strategic plan.

Stage Two - Complete

The second stage of community engagement was undertaken on 7 March 2024, with many interested people attending a community planning day.  Thank you to those who contributed; we gave an outline of what we’ve heard so far, both from the Robe 2050 survey and Council Members.  We then workshopped in small groups to develop key projects, themes, and initiatives to be added to the community voices we’ve already heard.

Stage Thee - Underway

Stage three is the development the Draft Strategic Plan 2024-2028; this is being undertaken by Jeff Tate Consulting and Planning Futures.

Stage Four

This stage will include further community consultation comprising of community information sessions and the ability to individual leave feedback (in writing or on-line).  Day and evening sessions will be scheduled (times and dates to be confirmed) to cater for as many people as possible.  At these sessions you will be able to discuss and workshop the draft plan, refine community priorities, and further determine anything that has been missed.

Stage Five

The final stage is for Council to consider and adopt the plan, which is anticipated for 8 May 2024 by Council.  Should further community engagement be required, a special meeting may be scheduled later in May.
